Work chaos

So I finally got a job, yay!

Only the job is taking up loads of my time now, boo!

As I am sure many of you are aware, the UK, and London in particular, is readying itself for a people frenzy in 2 weeks’ time. I will therefore be occupied with a lot of overtime until the people all go away again.

On the plus side, I have lots of fun stories about the public and the dumb things they say and do! This post will come on my day off next week.

Thanks, but no thanks

Apologies in advance, but this shall be another work-or-lack-thereof-related post.

According to the job centre (yes, you got it, this was Janine’s doing!) I was not applying to enough retail or general jobs. Bearing in mind that my experience is mostly in the heritage sector, I figured that was my best hope for a new role. Anyway, as always, I modified my approach to fit with what Janine said. For two weeks I ONLY applied to retail jobs.

I did, in fact get an interview. Wahey!
